Join us for a fun afternoon of scenic driving and friendly competition at our annual CNYPCA Gimmick Rally on Saturday, August 22!

The rally will begin at 1:00 PM in the Canal View Café parking lot, located at:

Since 12 North Sports Bar opens at 4:00 PM, participants who arrive early can relax and wait for the remaining teams to finish before we gather inside. Even if you’re unable to participate in the rally, you’re welcome to join us at 12 North Sports Bar for food, drinks, and fellowship.

What Is a Gimmick Rally?

A Gimmick Rally is a leisurely drive through the countryside where teams follow a set of fun, clue-based directions—not too easy, but not too difficult either!

Along the route, you’ll search for landmarks and answer questions about what you find. At the start of the rally, each team will receive three playing cards, with two additional cards awarded at the finish.

This is not a speed competition. The winners are determined by the team that answers the most questions correctly and finishes with the best five-card poker hand. The prize? Bragging rights until next year’s rally!
