Saturday May 16 is CNYPCA’s Opening Day at Watkins Glen International.

This year, as in prior years, we will meet at the Kohl’s Store parking lot, 410 Elmira Rd., Ithaca, directly behind the Dunkin Donuts. Our driving tour to the track will begin there. Please try and arrive at the Kohl’s parking lot about 10:00 AM as the driver’s meeting will begin at 10:15 AM with the first car off at 10:30 AM. I’ve planned a new driving tour to the track this year that I think everyone will enjoy. The tour map will be handed out at the driver’s meeting. We will do a head count in Ithaca, while signing the PCA waivers, for those who would like to have lunch in Watkins Glen after the track laps and tour of the old racecourse. Lunch is planned for El Rancho, 212 N. Franklin St., Watkins Glen, 607-210-4497. The driving tour will take about 55 minutes with our group arriving at WGI gate 2 by 11:30 AM to sign the WGI track waiver. Don’t forget to sign up on the CNYPCA website.
