CNYPCA 2026 Fall Tour
Catskills, Covered Bridges & Cooperstown

Join the Central New York Region Porsche Club of America for a full day of memorable autumn
Catskills driving, mountain scenery, historic covered bridges, and an evening at Brewery Ommegang in
Cooperstown.
The route has been designed to showcase some of the region’s most enjoyable touring roads, with
sweeping curves, rolling elevation changes, forested valleys, mountain views, and stretches of classic
Catskills scenery. As autumn begins to settle over the region, participants can expect a beautiful and
rewarding drive through one of New York’s most distinctive landscapes.
Event Schedule
8:30 a.m. – Participants arrive and check in
8:45 a.m. – Mandatory drivers’ meeting
9:00 a.m. – Tour departure
12:00-1:30 p.m. – Lunch at the Catskills Visitor Center
5:00 p.m. – Dinner at Brewery Ommegang
Participants should arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. to allow sufficient time for event check-in and waiver
signing before the mandatory drivers’ meeting.
Optional Friday-Night Lodging in Binghamton
Participants traveling from outside the Binghamton area may wish to arrive on Friday, September 25,
and stay overnight. With approximately 264 miles of planned tour driving on Saturday, staying locally on
Friday can provide a more relaxed start, reduce the total amount of driving for the day, and make it
easier to arrive by 8:30 a.m. for check-in.
The Greater Binghamton area offers numerous lodging options. Some popular choices include:

These hotels are provided as suggestions only. CNYPCA has not arranged a Friday-night room block
or designated an official Friday-night hotel. Participants are responsible for making and paying for their
own reservations and should confirm current rates, availability, cancellation policies, and parking
arrangements directly with the hotel.

After event check-in, waiver signing, and the required participant safety briefing at 8:45 a.m., we will
depart in groups with designated lead and sweep vehicles. The tour will roll out promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Our morning route will leave Binghamton and roll into the Catskills along a carefully selected
combination of rural roads and scenic byways. The route will feature a mix of flowing curves, quiet
wooded sections, open countryside, mountain terrain, and expansive views that should make the
journey just as enjoyable as the destinations.

Participants should bring their own lunch to enjoy together under the pavilion.
During the lunch stop, participants may also:
– Visit the Catskills interpretive exhibits and gift shop.
– Take the short walk to the Upper Esopus Fire Tower.
– Climb the fire tower for panoramic views of the Catskills.
– Explore the center’s nature and interpretive trails.
– Enjoy wildlife viewing and photography.
– Relax at the pavilion and socialize with other club members.
Participation in these activities is optional, and attendees may simply relax and enjoy lunch before the
afternoon portion of the tour. We will regroup and prepare to resume the tour at approximately 1:30
p.m.
Afternoon Tour and Covered Bridges
Following lunch, we will head back west through the Catskills then turn North toward Cooperstown.
The afternoon route will carry us deeper into the region through forested hills, small mountain
communities, river valleys, and scenic back roads. This portion of the tour offers another enjoyable mix
of curves, elevation changes, and changing landscapes as we make our way toward Central New York.
Along the way, we will stop at two historic covered bridges – first in Livingston Manor, followed by the
Downsville Covered Bridge. These stops will provide opportunities to stretch our legs, take
photographs, and enjoy two distinctive landmarks along the route.
Stops remain subject to traffic, weather, road conditions, and available parking.

Participants may join the group for a casual dinner featuring Ommegang’s food and Belgian-inspired
beer selections. Dinner and beverages will be ordered and paid for individually. Group checks may be
required
The PCA driving portion of the event ends upon arrival at Brewery Ommegang. Anyone consuming
alcohol at dinner must use a designated driver or arrange safe transportation to the hotel.

A block of 20 rooms has been arranged for Saturday night, September 26:
– 15 Standard Double Queen rooms – $199 per night
– 5 Standard King rooms – $219 per night
To reserve, call the hotel directly at 607-547-8000 and request the Porsche Event room block, code
SPE. Reservations must be made by September 12, 2026, or before the block is filled, whichever
occurs first. After the cutoff date, unreserved rooms will be returned to the hotel’s general inventory and
the group rate will no longer be guaranteed.
Guests are responsible for reserving and paying for their own accommodations. A valid credit card is
required to guarantee each reservation, but no deposit will be charged. Reservations may be canceled
without penalty up to 72 hours before the scheduled arrival date.

Sunday will be unstructured, allowing participants to choose their own activities and return home on
their preferred schedules.
Sunday Highlight: Northeast Classic Car Museum
For an automotive-themed conclusion to the weekend, participants are encouraged to visit the
Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich:

Admission is $15 per person, or $13 per person for groups of 10 or more.
The museum features more than 170 classic and vintage automobiles, 28 motorcycles, and other
transportation-related exhibits displayed throughout five connected, climate-controlled buildings.
Collections include pre-war and post-war automobiles, American muscle cars, vehicles manufactured in
New York, vintage motorcycles, aircraft engines, and the world’s largest collection of Franklin
automobiles. Most visitors should allow at least 1½ hours to explore the museum.
This is expected to be the featured Sunday activity and provides an especially fitting way for Porsche
Club members to conclude the Fall Tour. Participants interested in attending may travel to the museum
individually or organize informal groups.
Additional Cooperstown-Area Options
– National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum – Explore baseball history, artifacts, exhibits, and the
Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery in downtown Cooperstown.
– Fenimore Art Museum – Visit a nationally recognized collection of American art, folk art, photography,
and Native American art overlooking Otsego Lake.
– Fenimore Farm & Country Village – Explore a living-history museum featuring historic buildings, farm
animals, traditional demonstrations, and exhibits about rural New York life.
– Downtown Cooperstown – Walk along Main Street, browse local shops, visit Doubleday Field, and
enjoy the village’s restaurants, cafés, and historic architecture.
– Otsego Lake and Glimmerglass State Park – Take a scenic drive around Otsego Lake, enjoy a
shoreline walk, or visit nearby Glimmerglass State Park and Hyde Hall.
– Fly Creek Cider Mill – Browse the market and sample cider, baked goods, cheeses, and other
regional products.
Sunday activities are optional and are not part of the official PCA driving tour unless specifically
identified otherwise. Participants are responsible for their own transportation, admission fees, meals,
and other expenses.
