HILLIARD U.S. VINTAGE GRAND PRIX AT WATKINS GLEN
September 10–13, 2026 | Watkins Glen International
One of the largest vintage racing events in the country returns to Watkins Glen International this weekend. The Hilliard U.S. Vintage Grand Prix Presented by Mission Foods is a celebration of motorsport history, featuring incredible vintage race cars, open paddock access, and four days of racing at The Glen.

For our club gathering, we’ll be doing things much like we did for IMSA.
Please bring:
- A dish to pass
- Your own chairs
- Whatever alcoholic beverages you would like
- If you have a tent, table, or cooler we could use, please bring it along — a couple of each would be very helpful.
We’d also appreciate a head count by Thursday, as food will be purchased then.
CNYPCA will provide the same basic fare as IMSA: hot sausage with peppers and onions, hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, chips, dip, Scoops, salsa, salads, cookies, water, and soda.
The forecast currently looks good for Friday and Saturday, with a chance of showers on Sunday, so plan accordingly.

️ FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 — WATKINS GLEN GRAND PRIX FESTIVAL
Don’t forget that Friday brings another Watkins Glen tradition—the Grand Prix Festival in downtown Watkins Glen.
The streets come alive with historic cars, motorsports history, enthusiasts, and the atmosphere that makes Vintage Weekend so special.
Last year, Rebecca organized a CNYPCA meetup during the festival, and it was a great opportunity for members to enjoy downtown Watkins Glen together before heading back to the track.
SPECIAL 9/11 EVENT AT THE GLEN — FRIDAY NIGHT
Watkins Glen International is also holding a special 9/11 remembrance event Friday evening during SVRA Weekend.
If you already have a Vintage Weekend ticket, admission to the Friday-night event is included.
The evening will commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11 with local first responders, tribute lights, music, food and beverages available for purchase, and a special GLOW Car Show. The GLOW Car Show is an additional $10for those wishing to participate.
WGI Ticket Manager Cyndy Burrows shared that last year’s event was extremely moving and that proceeds benefit the R.A.C.E. Foundation.
The Friday-night event is scheduled for 7:00–10:00 PM.
