So, what exactly is a Gimmick Rally?

It’s part scenic Porsche drive, part scavenger hunt, part trivia contest—and part poker game.

Teams will follow a set of intentionally slightly vague directions through the countryside, searching for landmarks along the route. At various points, you’ll be asked questions about what you see.

Each team will also receive three playing cards at the start and two more at the finish.

And remember: this is NOT a race. Finishing first earns you absolutely nothing except more time to wait for everyone else!

The winning team will be determined by a combination of correct answers and the best poker hand, along with the most important prize of all: CNYPCA bragging rights for the next year.

The rally finishes at 12 North Sports Bar, which opens at 4:00 PM. If we arrive a little early, we’ll hang out and wait for the rest of the group.

Not interested in doing the rally? No problem! Members who don’t want to—or aren’t able to—participate in the drive are still encouraged to meet everyone at 12 North Sports Bar afterward.
