SUMMARY:CNYPCA Summer Picnic – Chenango State Park
DESCRIPTION:CNYPCA Annual Summer Picnic\nSaturday\, August 8\, 2026 | 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM\nPine Grove Shelter – Chenango Valley State Park \nCome spend the afternoon surrounded by great friends\, amazing Porsches\, and one of New York’s most scenic state parks. We’ve reserved the Pine Grove Shelter as our home base for a relaxed day filled with conversation\, delicious food\, and plenty of opportunities to explore. \nWe’re thrilled to have TKC Food Truck\, one of the Southern Tier’s favorite local food trucks\, serving lunch. Your meal is included with your registration and features your choice of: \n        Single SmashBurger \n        Chicago Beef \n        Braised Chicken Wrap \n        Marinated Portobello Sandwich \n\nEach meal also includes chips and macaroni salad\, drink and a dessert. \nIf we have enough interested participants\, we’ll also be organizing a friendly Bocce Ball Tournament. Whether you’re a seasoned player or have never thrown a bocce ball before\, it’s all about having fun and enjoying some friendly competition. \nAfter lunch\, take advantage of everything Chenango Valley State Park has to offer. Stretch your legs on the scenic hiking trails\, cool off with a swim at the lake\, check out the golf course\, or keep an eye on the sky—the park is one of the area’s best spots for observing majestic bald eagles. \nThere’s nothing you need to bring\, but if you’d like to share\, an easy dessert is always appreciated! Please remember that Chenango Valley State Park is a carry-in\, carry-out facility\, so be prepared to take home anything you bring with you. \nCNYPCA is covering the cost of lunch for all attendees. The only expense is the $7 New York State Park vehicle entrance fee\, payable directly to the park upon arrival. \nWhether you’re a longtime member\, a first-time attendee\, or bringing family and friends\, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a summer afternoon with the Porsche community. Bring your Porsche\, your appetite\, and your sense of adventure—we’ll take care of the rest! \nFinding the Pine Grove Shelter\nPlease use the Main Entrance to Chenango Valley State Park off NY Route 369.Some GPS devices may direct you to the Rogers Road entrance\, which is closed to day-use traffic during the summer. \nAfter entering the park: \n\nProceed through the entrance booth and continue on the main park road.\nStay on the main road as it winds through the park.\nFollow the signs for Pine Grove Pavilion/Shelter.\nThe Pine Grove Shelter is located near the park’s day-use area and has its own parking area adjacent to the shelter.\n\nIf you don’t immediately see a row of Porsches\, just follow the sound of great conversations and the smell of TKC Food Truck—we’ll be there waiting for you!

SUMMARY:CNYPCA Gimmick Rally
DESCRIPTION:Think you know Central New York? Think you can follow directions? \nCome find out! \nStart: 1:00 PM at: \nCanal View Café\n9 Canal Street\nSylvan Beach\, NY 13157 \nThe rally will conclude at: \n12 North Sports Bar\n10125 Mulaney Road\nMarcy\, NY 13403 \nSo\, what exactly is a Gimmick Rally? \nIt’s part scenic Porsche drive\, part scavenger hunt\, part trivia contest—and part poker game. \nTeams will follow a set of intentionally slightly vague directions through the countryside\, searching for landmarks along the route. At various points\, you’ll be asked questions about what you see. \nEach team will also receive three playing cards at the start and two more at the finish. \nAnd remember: this is NOT a race. Finishing first earns you absolutely nothing except more time to wait for everyone else! \nThe winning team will be determined by a combination of correct answers and the best poker hand\, along with the most important prize of all: CNYPCA bragging rights for the next year. \nThe rally finishes at 12 North Sports Bar\, which opens at 4:00 PM. If we arrive a little early\, we’ll hang out and wait for the rest of the group. \nNot interested in doing the rally? No problem! Members who don’t want to—or aren’t able to—participate in the drive are still encouraged to meet everyone at 12 North Sports Bar afterward. \nBring your Porsche\, your navigator\, your powers of observation\, and maybe a little luck!
