SUMMARY:HILLIARD U.S. VINTAGE GRAND PRIX AT WATKINS GLEN
DESCRIPTION:September 10–13\, 2026 | Watkins Glen International \nOne of the largest vintage racing events in the country returns to Watkins Glen International this weekend. The Hilliard U.S. Vintage Grand Prix Presented by Mission Foods is a celebration of motorsport history\, featuring incredible vintage race cars\, open paddock access\, and four days of racing at The Glen. \nIf you are planning to attend\, please contact Keagan at WGI for your CNYPCA tickets. \nFor our club gathering\, we’ll be doing things much like we did for IMSA. \nPlease bring: \n\nA dish to pass\nYour own chairs\nWhatever alcoholic beverages you would like\nIf you have a tent\, table\, or cooler we could use\, please bring it along — a couple of each would be very helpful.\n\nWe’d also appreciate a head count by Thursday\, as food will be purchased then. \nCNYPCA will provide the same basic fare as IMSA: hot sausage with peppers and onions\, hot dogs\, hamburgers\, rolls\, chips\, dip\, Scoops\, salsa\, salads\, cookies\, water\, and soda. \nThe forecast currently looks good for Friday and Saturday\, with a chance of showers on Sunday\, so plan accordingly. \nMore information about the Vintage Grand Prix:\nhttps://www.theglen.com/events/hilliard-u-s-vintage-grand-prix/ \nCNYPCA will once again have our familiar home base in the Inner Loop\, hosted by Brian Daley and Chris & Cathy White. \nCNYPCA Campsites:\nInner Loop — all the way at the end\nSites #40\, #41\, #42 & #43 \nThere is no charge to drive into the track and park\, and some parking will be available at Site #43 for CNYPCA members. \nCNYPCA Discounted Ticket Pricing\nWeekend Entry \n\nAdult: $51 — $91 at the gate\nYouth/Team: $23 — $26 at the gate\nChildren 12 and under are FREE\n\nCamping \n\nTrackside Camping: $135\nNon-Trackside Camping: $120\n\n️ How to Purchase\nTo receive the CNYPCA/group pricing\, contact: \nKeagan Rought — WGI Group Sales\n607-300-5075 \nKeagan is great to work with and can help with both admission and camping arrangements. \n️ FRIDAY\, SEPTEMBER 11 — WATKINS GLEN GRAND PRIX FESTIVAL\nDon’t forget that Friday brings another Watkins Glen tradition—the Grand Prix Festival in downtown Watkins Glen. \nThe streets come alive with historic cars\, motorsports history\, enthusiasts\, and the atmosphere that makes Vintage Weekend so special. \nLast year\, Rebecca organized a CNYPCA meetup during the festival\, and it was a great opportunity for members to enjoy downtown Watkins Glen together before heading back to the track. \nSPECIAL 9/11 EVENT AT THE GLEN — FRIDAY NIGHT\nWatkins Glen International is also holding a special 9/11 remembrance event Friday evening during SVRA Weekend. \nIf you already have a Vintage Weekend ticket\, admission to the Friday-night event is included. \nThe evening will commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11 with local first responders\, tribute lights\, music\, food and beverages available for purchase\, and a special GLOW Car Show. SUMMARY:CNYPCA Gimmick Rally
DESCRIPTION:Think you know Central New York? Think you can follow directions? \nCome find out! \nStart: 1:00 PM at: \nCanal View Café\n9 Canal Street\nSylvan Beach\, NY 13157 \nThe rally will conclude at: \n12 North Sports Bar\n10125 Mulaney Road\nMarcy\, NY 13403 \nSo\, what exactly is a Gimmick Rally? \nIt’s part scenic Porsche drive\, part scavenger hunt\, part trivia contest—and part poker game. \nTeams will follow a set of intentionally slightly vague directions through the countryside\, searching for landmarks along the route. At various points\, you’ll be asked questions about what you see. \nEach team will also receive three playing cards at the start and two more at the finish. \nAnd remember: this is NOT a race. Finishing first earns you absolutely nothing except more time to wait for everyone else! \nThe winning team will be determined by a combination of correct answers and the best poker hand\, along with the most important prize of all: CNYPCA bragging rights for the next year. \nThe rally finishes at 12 North Sports Bar\, which opens at 4:00 PM. If we arrive a little early\, we’ll hang out and wait for the rest of the group. \nNot interested in doing the rally? No problem! Members who don’t want to—or aren’t able to—participate in the drive are still encouraged to meet everyone at 12 North Sports Bar afterward. \nBring your Porsche\, your navigator\, your powers of observation\, and maybe a little luck!

Bring your Porsche\, your appetite\, and your sense of adventure—we’ll take care of the rest! \nFinding the Pine Grove Shelter\nPlease use the Main Entrance to Chenango Valley State Park off NY Route 369.Some GPS devices may direct you to the Rogers Road entrance\, which is closed to day-use traffic during the summer. \nAfter entering the park: \n\nProceed through the entrance booth and continue on the main park road.\nStay on the main road as it winds through the park.\nFollow the signs for Pine Grove Pavilion/Shelter.\nThe Pine Grove Shelter is located near the park’s day-use area and has its own parking area adjacent to the shelter.\n\nIf you don’t immediately see a row of Porsches\, just follow the sound of great conversations and the smell of TKC Food Truck—we’ll be there waiting for you!
