April – Tech Session – Brakes
April 1 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Gil worked in numerous automobile and motorcycle shops from 1977 to 2000. He then spent the next 20 years teaching automotive technology courses at SUNY Morrisville. He retired from teaching a couple years ago and now provides auto repair services out of the shop at his home. We are very fortunate to have someone with his qualifications and of his caliber available to us. Gil is also our CNYPCA Safety Chair.
Subject: BRAKES Gil will be discussing inspection criteria, best practices regarding installation of rotors and pads, and methods to properly bleed brake systems. If you have ever considered doing this type of work yourself this will be a very valuable tech session.
Details: Due to the size of Gil’s shop we need to limit the number of participants to about 15. If you want to attend you must RSVP to Gil by email at safetychair@cnypca.org or by clicking the RSVP link below . Gil will respond to you to let you know if you are included on the roster or wait-listed. If you are included and later decide to cancel, please let Gil know so he can contact someone on the wait-list. The club will provide morning refreshments. Please arrive before 9:00 to allow time for sign-in, chit-chat, and refreshments. Gil has lots of technical material to cover in the 3 hours allotted. If members want to meet somewhere for lunch after the tech session Gil can offer some suggestions.
