Greenwich Concours d’Elegance | May 31st – June 2nd, 2019

2019 will be the 24th Greenwich Concours! Recognized as one of the premier concours in the country and the largest in the Northeast, Greenwich is unique in that it is two concours back to back. Saturday is the Concours Americana for American cars and motorcycles, while Sunday is the Concours International for imported marques.

2019 will feature special classes of  Zagato, Bentley, Arnolt, Super Cars & Orphan Marques (limited production marques that no longer exist).

For the concours weekend, we will have a waterfront display of cars bodied by the Italian coachbuilder Zagato in honor of their 100th Anniversary. Also on both days, we will feature the hybrid cars of “Wacky” Arnolt and Orphan Motorcycle Marques.

Orphan American Marques and Super Cars will be the special classes on Saturday, June 1st. The Zagato and Arnolt cars will also be on display. With a Saturday ticket, you can also preview the cars for auction in the Bonhams tent. Be sure to join us Saturday night for the gala party at the Greenwich Delamar Hotel, with a sumptuous buffet overlooking the luxurious yachts.

Sunday, June 2nd, there will be a special Bentley class to commemorate their 100th Anniversary. The Bonhams auction begins at noon on Sunday and requires a separate admission – or you can watch through the open side of the tent.

Surrounding the show field will be displays of new cars, including BMW, Cadillac, Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, Porsche and Miller Motorcars – with Ferrari, Bugatti, Pagani, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, McLaren, Bentley and Maserati. There are even opportunities to test drive some of these amazing new vehicles. We will also have incredible yachts from Castaways Yacht Sales displayed at the Delamar Hotel docks.

There will be a limited number of VIP tickets which include early entry to the Concours, breakfast and lunch with the car owners and judges, lapel pin, poster and a VIP lanyard.

European Motor Club of CNY spring drive

Note: the European Motor Club is the new name for the MG Car Club of CNY – same great folks with a new name!

The European Motor Club’s spring dust off run is scheduled for Sunday, 5/5/19,weather permitting. We will be gathering at 9:30 am in the M&T Bank parking lot in Fayetteville at the intersection of Rts 5,257 and Salt Springs Rd, leaving at 10:00 am. Our destination is the state historic site at the Oriskany Falls Revolutionary War Battlefield by way of some less traveled roads with a couple of stops along the way. It is about 45 miles of driving at moderate speeds. Following our visit we will have lunch in Westmoreland at Grande’s Pizzeria and Restaurant. See their menu at grandes pizzeria.com, Westmoreland location. A couple of routes home are possible, your choice. Please contact me at my home phone, 315-399-5305 or my email at onevalleypark@gmail.com so we will not leave without anyone and I can advise the restaurant how many to expect. Hope for top down weather and plenty of cars!  Thanks, Bill & Judy
