The CNY Porsche Club Winter Rally 2014

OK Porsche fans….sitting inside talking about this cold weather….getting bored? Well come out and join in on the annual Winter Rally, good camaraderie and watch the Daytona 500.

We enjoy some of the Tompkins County scenery in the process and return to the Holt house to enjoy pizza, wings and some other libation of choice. We will provide soda or you may bring another beverage of your choice.

If you have never done a rally, we will offer good instruction so that you can give it a try. Even if you have trouble, you can always bail…punch in my address into that Smart Phone you love and go directly to the food and fun!

Where: In front of the old KMart on Rt. 13 in Ithaca or behind Panera Bread

When: 1:00 PM Sunday the 23rd of February. There will be a drivers meeting to discuss the event and rules at 12:50

Cost: $5.00 per person or $10.00 per car (C’mon now where can you get pizza and wings for that price!)

Take SR 13 south into Ithaca. You will come down on the divided 4-lane by Cayuga Lake into Ithaca. The road divides to one way for a number of blocks. When it rejoins to being two-way four lane, you pass Wegman’s and a Ford Dealer. The Panera bread will be at a light on your right. The Kmart parking lot is behind Panera.

Directions from the South:

Take SR 13 North into Ithaca. You will enter the retail strip with Tim Horton’s on your right and Home Depot on your left. You will only go about a mile and Panera Bread will be on your left at a light. The Kmart parking lot is in the rear.

Mitch VanNordstrand is again opening his garage to CNY members so that we all have a place to go and fantasize about what we can do when the snow disappears and the salt gets washed away.

Mitch has a large, heated work shop complete with a lift, wash bay and paint booth with lots of room for us to hang out. Bring a folding chair if you want to make yourself comfortable!

This year a 996 will be getting a waterpump replacement and an exhaust upgrade.
