2014 Cobweb Concours at Syracuse Porsche

We had a another in a string of attendance records! I believe that this was the most cars and attendees at a Cobweb Concours yet! The weather was great for the event, warm and mostly sunny for an early May day in Central New York. I heard that some of the Southern Tier folks were rained on as they drove home. Not me, top down and ice cream cones were the order of the day!

Steve Turco put on a well organized event (with the help of Brian Daily and Jill Vasina) and Burdick came though with some great trophies and lots of give aways (Hats, Shirts, Mugs, Calendars and some nice umbrellas). In addition the Burdick guys performed quite a few complimentary tech inspections for members Porsches. Lunch was very nice and I believe that everybody had a great time.

CNY Annual Charity Dinner and Auction

CNY PCA Annual Charity Dinner and Auction

A highlight of our http://cialis24hour-pharmacy.com/bestsellers.html club’s social calendar has always been the dinner and auction that is the primary fund raiser for the charity we support each year, and this year’s event is shaping up to be one you’ll not want to miss. The charity we are supporting for 2014-2015 is Mom’s House in Johnson City, NY which is a non-profit, pre-school child care center that provides free day care for single parents who are pursuing a high school, trade school, or college level degree. Additional post for Jim Ball

Carolyn Noroski Stillman sent in a nice addition to Jim Ball’s eulogy – Chris White – president@cnypca.org

I have wonderful memories of Ball family.  The times I was in their company were mostly Porsche events.  I was so lucky over the years to observe the wonderful friendship between Jim and Gloria and my parents.  I’m sure that is part of the reason I own a Porsche today.   They were the kind of friends I wanted to share a special bond with and keep as friends for years.  I can see their home in Cortland in my mind, along with a Mercedes and of course, that red speedster!  Special times and special people.

May you all celebrate Jim’s life with great stories, laughter and tears.

“When you were born, you cried & the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries & you rejoice.” –White Elk.
Today, we cry.   And Jim Ball rejoices as he is reunited with the love of his life, Gloria.
