ZONE 1 / ZONE 2 BOARDWALK REUNION

This just in from Joyce Gladle:

LAST YEAR’S 356 REGISTRY WAS HELD ON THIS SAME FORMAT AND IT WAS A GREAT EVENT. SORT OF LAST OF THE SEASON BUT A THRILL TO SEE ALL THE PORSCHES ON THE BOARDWALK.

THIS IS NOW OPEN TO ALL PORSCHE MODELS.  IT IS VERY REASONABLE AND THEY HAVE A GREAT  PARTY PLANNED FOR SATURDAY EVENING.

THANKS VERY MUCH.

JOYCE

All Porsches and Porsche owners are welcome at the first annual Boardwalk Reunion

The Porsche Club of America Zones 1 & 2 and the 356 Registry are jointly hosting this new and exciting event, but you don’t have to be a member to join in the fun.  All Porsches are welcome, and we will have a special display area for 914’s – the 50th anniversary of that model!

Boardwalk Reunion is more than just a laidback cars and coffee on the Boards- it’s a unique opportunity to drive up onto and display your Porsche on one of New Jersey’s most iconic Boardwalks against an ocean backdrop that is simply spectacular.  You’ll be able to meet and socialize with Porsche owners from all over, and savor Ocean City at its most beautiful and peaceful time of the year.

Many Boardwalk shops and eateries will be open, and the pristine beaches are just on the other side of the boardwalk railing.  We would like everyone to enjoy this event- an All Porsche gathering “Down the Shore” at Ocean City at the height of autumn.

WHEN: Saturday

             October 19th, 2019

WHERE: Boardwalk

              Ocean City, NJ

ITINERARY: We’ll marshal and register at Ocean City’s Municipal Airport starting at 9AM, depart at 11AM under police escort, and then park and hang out on the mile long Boardwalk until 4:00 PM.   Tech Sessions will be held at the Music Pier starting at noon and running up until we depart the Boards

SOCIAL: A social at one of the New Jersey shore’s most historic hotels- the charming Flanders Hotel- will follow.

COST: Registration fees are only $30 per Porsche

LODGING:

  • Our Room block at the Flanders is sold out, but many hotels are offering special off-season rates for attendees.
  • We have arranged preferred rates at several alternate hotels.  They are within 1-2 short blocks of the Boardwalk – a quick and easy walk to and from the activities!
  • There are also many other options, such as B&B’s and privately owned condos through HomeAway and AirBnB.
  • Please contact the Registrar if you have any housing concerns.
